In order to actively respond to domestic and foreign energy industries and national policies, the Department of Energy Engineering educates a new convergence applications including advanced science and applied engineering on the basis of basic science (physics, chemistry, materials and chemical engineering). Moreover, the Department academically incorporates energy demand management technologies to transform/store energy as well as realize sustainable energy. Its aim is to change the paradigm from product-based department education to technology-based (energy conversion/storage and demand management technology) department education and foster professional talents responsible for future energy/national security by proactively responding to rapidly changing industries.
