The department fosters high-calibre human resources and conducts R&D on emerging convergence technologies capable of bringing about groundbreaking changes in industries and people's lives through the convergence of the existing areas of aerospace and information systems engineering. The Department of Aerospace Information Engineering at Konkuk University (KU) is focused on the rapid acquisition of a level of R&D surpassing that of even the most advanced nations. Simultaneously, we aim at raising the competitiveness of Korean aerospace industry through the development of professionals in the converged field of ST/IT engineering based on Korea's most advanced IT technology.

Our department also aims to foster professionals with practical experience and theoretical knowledge of each academic area of aerospace information systems engineering, capable of making on-site contributions to industry as well as local and overseas research projects.
