Educational Philosophy of the Republic of Korea

The aim of education is develop the character of all citizens under the ideology of Hong-Ik and to equip them with the necessary qualities to live independently and be a democratic citizen. Education enables us to lead a humane life and contribute to the development of a democratic nation and the realization of the ideal the common good of mankind.

The purpose of universities is to contribute to the development of the nation and human society by teaching and researching the profound theories and applications of scholarship necessary for developing the country and human society.
