COLLEGE OFSANG-HUH LIFE SCIENCE aims to “cultivate leading talent in the field of life sciences who will change the world beyond Korea.” To this end, we are contributing to the development of the animal and plant life industries and nurturing human resources needed by companies. Sangheo University of Life Sciences focuses on nurturing convergent talents required by future society through convergence education and convergence research. To this end, we operate a variety of convergence majors, such as interdisciplinary majors, interdisciplinary majors, and interdepartmental convergence majors. In addition, we operate industry-academic cooperation research centers and research institutes to promote convergence research necessary in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Sangheo Life Science University is doing its best to cultivate life science talent who will lead the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. COLLEGE OFSANG-HUH LIFE SCIENCE is named after the founder’s pen name “SANG-HUH (常虛)” and boasts tradition and history including the College of Animal Life Science (formerly College of Animal Husbandry), College of Life and Environmental Sciences (formerly College of Agriculture), and Department of Life Sciences. I dare say that it is a symbolic university of Konkuk University where (formerly Department of Biology) was fused with a grand goal. The use of this founder's pen name as the name of our university is in keeping with the founding spirit of Konkuk University, which is the spirit of sincerity, trust, and righteousness. It can be said to reflect the university’s will to “cultivate.” New challenges sometimes make us fearful of upcoming dangers, but they also provide us with another source of energy that allows us to experience a new world we have never experienced before. Now, SANG-HUH LIFE SCIENCE would like to prepare for the following challenges using the Sangheo spirit like an eagle that spreads its wings and flies away for a new flight. Firstly, it will contribute to the development of the animal and plant life industry, which is recognized as a future growth engine; secondly, it will cultivate excellent talent that the world needs beyond Korea; and thirdly, it will foster employment capabilities by nurturing the talent that companies need. Fourthly, we will do our best to become one of the best universities in the country in the field of animal and plant life sciences, as well as to enter the top 10 in the world.
