Konkuk University College of Education was founded in 1973 with the founding philosophy of sincerity, fidelity, and righteousness. As of 2020, it consists of seven departments: Department of Educational Technology, Department of Mathematics Education, Department of English Education, Department of Japanese Language Education, Department of Music Education, Department of Physical Education, and Department of Education, as well as affiliated middle and high schools, Konkuk Education Research Institute, and unique research institutes.
With more than 40 professors and 700 students, the College of Education strives to fulfill our educational goal of preparing educators who will lead the future of education. To produce teachers whom students respect and admire, teachers who enjoy learning and are passionate about teaching, and teachers who are compassionate and caring and have a strong sense of character and ethics, the faculty and staff of the College are constantly learning and practicing.
The College of Education has developed teaching and learning skills, socio-emotional skills, and creative convergence skills as core competencies for future education. It operates the most appropriate curriculum and programs that reflect these. In particular, we train education professionals with theoretical and practical experience in close cooperation with affiliated middle and high schools on campus.
We will continue to build on our reputation as the best teacher training institution selected by the Ministry of Education and fulfill our responsibility and role in training teachers who are responsible for Korea's future.
