About the Department

The Department of Public Administration at KU has a long history. As of 2007, it is ranked among the top 4-5 departments in Korea that have produced the most high-ranking public officials above level 5. The Department of Public Administration is committed to educating students in the skills, knowledge, and management techniques required of competent and conscientious public administrators. We aim to train future national managers who can effectively promote national policies and proactively reform public sector administration by responding to new administrative demands and environments in the knowledge and information society. Many of the graduates have also joined the growing non-profit sector. In recent years, many of our graduates have entered the financial and media industries, so we are actively developing and offering new and more practical courses.
