There has been an increasing demand for professionals to create value from large-scale data including Big Data or Data Science in recent years. Along with existing acadenic expertise, it is essential to provide practical and systematic education for collection / storage / processing / analysis / utilization of large-scale data combining characteristics in mathematical science, computer and service disciplines.

The goal of the Department of Data Science is to foster convergence talents who can professionally handle such tasks, and to help them grow as a core manpower of various industries including IT / finance/medicine / life science.
