Established in 2015 as a combined Master and PhD program, students with a variety of backgrounds including government departments, military, information community, businesses and banks are studying in two major courses of national security strategy and security disaster management at the Department of National Security and Disaster Management. Today's concept of security is changing into a comperhensive one mixed with nation and society crossing borders, and large-scale disasters are frequently occuring due to advanced IT civilization, building enlargement, climate change and etc. It is impossible to explain complicated phenomena or cope with new educational needs with traditional school systems, thus, the Department of National Security and Disaster Management aims to contribute to local and national development by cultivating high-quality professional talents with new interdisciplinary theories and practical knowledge.
