MS Program
KBS offers the specialized Master program in Business Administration, MIS and MOT, conferring the degree of MS in Business. The MS program curriculum is designed to educate students seeking for academic or research-oriented careers and students entering the program are considered to have fundamentals of business knowledge or skills. Thus when students are deemed to lack rudimentary knowledge required for MS classes, they need to take up to twelve credits of undergraduate prerequisites such as statistics, research methodology or courses required by the major they are in.
KBS established five learning goals for each specialized master’s programs which align to KBS’s mission statement and four core values. At the completion of the program, the candidates should be able to:
- Demonstrate an ability to do basic logical reasoning for theory development in the areas of their interest in business.
- Understand basic research and analytical methods and apply them to research in the areas of their interest in business.
- Demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively to various audiences, both orally and in writing.
- Understand an importance of ethical issues in conducting research and presenting research outcomes in various journal outlets of their interest.
- Understand the basic contemporary business concepts and theories in the areas of their interest in business.
Ph.D. Program
KBS doctoral program consists of Ph.D. in BA, MIS and MOT respectively. The program is designed and implemented with a clear objective, research focus. Upon completion of the Ph.D. program, students are expected to have an advanced level of knowledge in specific fields of study and expertise in independent research.
At the completion of the doctoral program, the graduates should be able to:
- Demonstrate an ability to do advanced logical reasoning for systematic theory building and utilize advanced research and analytical methods for rigorous empirical investigation in the areas of their interest.
- Conduct strong research for the contribution to the academic and professional societies of their interest.
- Demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively to academic and professional audiences, both orally and in writing.
- Understand an importance of ethical issues in conducting research and presenting research outcomes in various journal outlets of their interest.
- Demonstrate an understanding of in-depth knowledge in management theories and literature in the areas of their interest.
