The Konkuk Business School, founded upon sincerity, fidelity and righteous, is strongly committed to fostering global leaders equipped with the knowledge, skills, and ethicality for national business competitiveness, and a high record of achievement in research, which will contribute to national development.
This Code of Ethics of the Konkuk Business School aims to enhance each member’s status and the pride of Konkuk Business School by taking social and ethical responsibility to walk in step with massive shifts over the times and to have a beneficial effect on the community. The conduct of activities at Konkuk Business School is guided as follows:
Faculty
Faculty Code of Ethics
- The faculty member makes every effort to properly adhere to their appropriate roles as an intellectual guide to foster global business leaders and demonstrates respect for students as individuals and leads them to possess sound moral judgment.
- The faculty member as a scholar retains enthusiasm for the mission, strives to conduct research activities for knowledge and skills development, and contributes to the well-being of social and national advancement by developing mutual respect and collaboration for their research.
- The faculty member as an intellectual is expected to show scholarly judgment and to maintain their dignity puts high importance on honor and benefit of the school.
Faculty Code of Practice
- Education
- 1.1.The faculty member delivers lectures with initiative and sincerity to foster outstanding individuals with knowledge and intellectual competence and makes efforts to motivate students to demonstrate their intellectual curiosity and creativity.
- 1.2.The faculty member encourages the free pursuit of learning in their students and guarantees freedom of thought.
- 1.3.The faculty member evaluates students’ performance in a fair manner complying with school regulations.
- 1.4.The faculty member does not engage in sexual harassment and or bring shame by violating the law with their students.
- 1.5.The faculty member provides students with a class environment free from bias and prejudice against nationality, age, sex, or national origin.
- Research
- 2.1. The faculty member conducts research in an ethical manner based on the rules and guidelines of research.
- 2.2. The faculty member respects the right of colleagues for the free pursuit of research activities and promotes cooperation which enables the production of valuable research.
- 2.3.The faculty member ensures full compliance with the procedures and regulations for greater transparency on research grant executions.
- 2.4.The faculty member abides by all copyright laws when conducting research.

- 3.1. The faculty member as an intellectual becomes an inspiration to everyone by ethical and responsible behavior.
- 3.2.The faculty member consistently strives to have a high record of achievement in research for human society as well as national development and they give back to society.
- 3.3.The faculty member as a member of the Konkuk Business School respects the honor of the school and, furthermore, plays an active role in its contribution to society.
- 3.4.The faculty member as a member of the school community accepts administration positions and performs their duty based on rationality and fairness for the best education and research environment.
Student
Student Code of Ethics
- The student undertakes learning with initiative and creativity to grow as a global leader who has good moral and professional knowledge.
- The student takes responsibility for honestly fulfilling assignments research, examinations, and for complying with the school’s regulations.
- The student demonstrates courtesy and respect and abides by the faculty’s instruction.
- The student has a high sense of responsibility and upholds the honor of the school.

- Learning
- 1.1. The student attends classes with initiative and sincerity and makes every effort to build knowledge to become a professional business leader walking in step with massive shifts in the business environment.
- 1.2.The student earnestly considers human dignity and social responsibility of corporations and establishes correct ethical beliefs.
- 1.3.The student does not infringe on other students’ right to learn and fully engages themselves in learning.
- 1.4.The student has a good attitude toward conducting assignments, research, and examinations.
- Others
- 2.1. The student behaves at all times in a respectful and courteous manner toward the faculty.
- 2.2.The student protects people from any form of discrimination on the basis of nationality, age, sex, or region of origin.
- 2.3.The student forms friendships with mutual respect and trust and grows together as future leaders.
- 2.4.The student upholds the honor of the school by always being proper in their behavior and is held accountable for their actions as an adult.
